The Airport believes that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Through sponsorship of local health and sporting organisations, we aspire to support local people to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle, which will support them to gain and sustain employment.

Community Food Enterprise

Community Food Enterprise (CFE) is a social enterprise food business which is rooted in the London Borough of Newham and was founded in 2002 by members of the local community. CFS is a sustainable community food enterprise that provides training and employment opportunities for members of the community while supplying fresh fruit and vegetables to local people at a realistic price to encourage them to eat the right food.

London City Airport engages Community Food Enterprise as a local supplier to deliver fresh fruit to all Airport staff every week, encouraging our very local staff base to eat healthily, while providing custom to a local supplier.

East London Rugby Club

London City Airport sponsors and engages with a wide range of community sports clubs and organisations. East London Rugby Club is one club with which the Airport has worked since 2007 through sponsorship of the first team and the Club’s outreach work with local people; engaging them in playing rugby or working with the Club.
